Sing praise to summer and the availability of fresh picked corn on the cob!! Post your best stories and pictures!

I had some last night and it was perfect. Cooked it at home and took it to the beach. Charcoal grilled some hamburgers and ate the corn while waiting.

Butter & salt, left to right, not a kernel missed. So good!!

I peel back the husk and rub the corn with salt, pepper, chili powder, lime juice and a little Parmesan cheese. Then pull the husk back up and throw 'em on the grill. Mmmm-mmm good!

True story, years ago I had a large black tom cat that crawled up onto the stove where I had three ears of corn on the cob in a kettle. While I was sleeping the cat took the three ears out of the kettle , carried them down to his food plate and ate every single kernel on all three cobs. If I wouldn't have seen the eaten ears on the floor on his food plate I would have never believed it. That cat was properly fed every day too but it just must have had a hankering for corn on the cob. The same cat would eat green beans and loved watermelon. If I was eating watermelon it just cried and whined until I gave it a bunch. Strange but true.

similar here, but I leave the husk off while grilling. Get em good and grilled, then slather on a mixture of half mayo and half sour cream (about half a cup of each for 4 ears), then squirt some lime on that, a little chili powder, and cover in parmesan cheese.

It's the shit! Gonna try your way with the husks on and without the mayo/cream mix. SOunds good too.

If you guys had good enough corn, ya wouldn't have to do all that shit to it. Little bit of salt and pepper and lots of butter is all corn needs :thumb:

THAT sounds really good...gourmet style Ford. Will have to try. I always leave the husk on while BBQing tho, helps steam the cob-O-corn.
