Deal in works. Multiple pitchers going to Colorado.
Rockies had Dickerson, Blackmon, Cargo, and Parra. Makes sense they traded one of them and they should probably trade Cargo too.
I'm shocked they didn't last year, he was on fire around the deadline and should have gotten a big return. They need to move him and try to rebuild their pitching(which is definitely a challenge in Colorado), the offense won't be a problem.I think this is finally the trade deadline that they actually move him. They'll be way out of contention at that point, may as well unload him.

Mets seem good when it comes to the OF with Grandy, Cespedes, Conforto, and Lagares for defense. I'd take Cargo on the Padres but that won't happen. He was a guy I have wanted on the Mets for a while now, now? Not so much anymore.
The Rockies offense is still extremely stacked with Cargo, Jose Reyes, Blackmon, Arenado, LeMahieu, Parra, etc.
But until they get pitching (never happening) I just don't see how they'll contend again. My strategy would be to build an elite level defense and bullpen which McGee and Parra both aid but at the same time that staff is still too much of a mess.
Pitchers never want to sign there so their only hope it to land one via trade.
