2 teams that nobody on here cares about.

Sounds like it's Dickerson for McGee+prospects.

I, for one, like it when the Rockies trade away good hitters for pitchers. Most pitchers they acquire are hopeless anyway, and Dickerson was a Giants killer.

Rockies had Dickerson, Blackmon, Cargo, and Parra. Makes sense they traded one of them and they should probably trade Cargo too.

I think this is finally the trade deadline that they actually move him. They'll be way out of contention at that point, may as well unload him.

I'm shocked they didn't last year, he was on fire around the deadline and should have gotten a big return. They need to move him and try to rebuild their pitching(which is definitely a challenge in Colorado), the offense won't be a problem.

Looks like a meh move to me but yeah the Rockies have a glut of players in their outfield.

He was a guy I have wanted on the Mets for a while now, now? Not so much anymore.

Mets seem good when it comes to the OF with Grandy, Cespedes, Conforto, and Lagares for defense. I'd take Cargo on the Padres but that won't happen.

The Rockies offense is still extremely stacked with Cargo, Jose Reyes, Blackmon, Arenado, LeMahieu, Parra, etc.

But until they get pitching (never happening) I just don't see how they'll contend again. My strategy would be to build an elite level defense and bullpen which McGee and Parra both aid but at the same time that staff is still too much of a mess.

Pitchers never want to sign there so their only hope it to land one via trade.

I don't like this trade for the Rockies. They should have kept him & moved him to 1B. Who else do they have that can play 1B?

Reyes is looking at a lengthy suspension. And their OF consists of 3 LH bats who all have trouble with LHP.

This trade is way better than the Arizona and Milwaukee one. I peg the Rays as the winners but it's not like the Rockies didn't just get an amazing reliever. The Rockies traded from depth and the Rays traded a guy at peak value, who they were looking to not be able to afford, to get 4 years of control of Dickerson.

Now I'm glad the Dodgers didn't trade for McGee because that's a steep price. Hopefully Colorado doesn't ruin him (or maybe it does and he can come to LA for cheap after everyone thinks he's broken?)
