Been a rough few weeks, I haven't been able to come on here or even attend many games. I went to a game last night though so I got my mindset back.
LSU takes on Vandy in what should be one of the best series of the season. Vandy will enter as #5 and LSU as #6. Tyler Beede (Vandy) and Aaron Nola (LSU) will face off in what could be one of the best pitchers duels of the year. I give the nod to LSU on Friday, although their bats have not faired well in the face of elite pitching. Nola does Nola every night, I expect nothing less from the 1st round draft pick against Vandy.
The rest of the series I concede to Vandy. Maneri has an obsession with wanting Cody Glenn to be a weekend starter, and he is not the right guy. Freshman Jared Posche may be the best pitcher on the staff by next season but even if he is handed the ball it would be his first major start against a legitimate team on the road. Should be a great series either way and Fox Sports Net will air the game on Saturday.
