Not going solely by their game on Saturday because it defied belief that the Leafs had three glorious chances SH on Murray and missed all three and then gave up a crap goal right at the end of the 2nd period but this team would have a chance in every game if they had a way to deal with opponents' top lines.

Maybe it's just me but I can't believe nobody would take a chance on Holland. If Babcock is really that insistent on Ben Smith then ok, fine, but Holland is probably worth 30-40 pts on a decent-enough 3rd line. Oh well.

I suspect that at least one or two teams is looking and saying "if they don't want to play him over Ben Smith then they obviously don't want him at all. So why should we give up anything to get a player like that?"

I doubt that he had much trade value to begin with but they've pretty much killed it with his usage anyway.

Writing was kinda on the wall when they waived him this summer and nobody claimed.

As Travis Yost put on Twitter earlier, we're talking about a maybe 10 goal scorer over a full season. I'm not losing sleep over it. Just find it weird that nobody would even take a chance in a league where Matt Martin and Dale Weise get 4 year contracts lol.

When I start getting concerned about the Leafs D, I get to see some other "up and coming" teams (cough cough EDM) and say to my self, it could be worse. Much worse.
