So, tonight, Jared Boll comes back to Nationwide.

When he gets a standing ovation, I might just throw up,

Daaaang.

The question is, does Wennberg have that kind of vision to know Werenski is there, or was he just throwing it to the slot and Werenski has the ability to know where every play is going before it happens?

Columbus is 4-0-1 in their last five games. It's gotta be the coaching.

You also have to give credit to the genius front office.

Sam Gagner just scored his 6th of the season, and second of the night.

He is now two short of his total with the Flyers for all last season. That is looking more and more like a solid bargain.

Connor McDavid and Alexander Wennberg are also tied for the league lead in assists. 13 each.

Alex has played two less games.

We want 10 again

They just got the extra point. They need to get back in field goal range.

Markus Nutivaara with his first NHL goal. Jackets sitting at 7 goals on 18 shots.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have put out an RFP for a cheaper cannon powder as the current material is now the second-highest team expenditure behind Sergei Bobrovsky.

I believe they have cremated David Clarkson and added his ashes to the mix.

Has Torts evolved from "Whip them like Donkeys" to "They might actually be mortal"?

Provided the team keeps producing consistent effort like they have been, I am completely in favor of giving them some slack.

Aren't the morning skates optional anyway? So what is even being accomplished by eliminating them?

Torts' game day skates were very rarely optional.

A note from the Arena tonight. We arrived at around the same time as the Jackets players were showing up. I couldn't help but notice that William Karlsson and Alexander Wennberg arrived together. In a Volvo SUV.

I found that adorable.

I can't even remember the last time I saw this team play like hot garbage and still pull out a win. They had no business being out there for long periods of the game, but they somehow got it together. Feels good to see. Weird, but good.

Prout got hurt before the game (assuming he walked into a door or something), so Scott Harrington made his Jackets debut. He arrived at the Arena a quarter to 7. Dude, even if you're sitting in the press box, you need to be there on time.

And I can't believe I am going to say this, but... I hope Dalton Prout is back in the lineup soon. Oof. Harrington is not good.

EEEK

It's okay, I guess. He got bandaged up and came back out and put the Jackets up 3-2 with a shorty. Can find a picture of him right now, but it kind of looks like the guy on the right:

Actually he's out there with Karlsson and Hartnell, so the line is pretty close to the picture.
