I don't know how Michigan State is so high on scouts when we are around 30 in 247 and rivals.

Actually other sites have Texas at about 16

IF they land Chaisson tomorrow and Pouncey, they'll be on the verge of top 10. They'll the same number of 5 stars as aggy and more 4 stars. The only difference is the class is small this year

Rivals and 24/7 both......well if you use the class calculator. Texas could land another 5 star and 4 star bumping them up into the top 20

Last year this time Texas had the 45th ranked class coming into signing day.

Small class of 16-18 and a new coach. Ending top 20 would be a victory. I prefer it to be smaller with a new coach. No need to fill up on bread

Scout and Rivals is fake news. If OSU or Bama offers a kid magically that kid gets a score increase. The 247 ranking system is easily the most credible. IDK about ESPN since I won't pay for that shit.

Scout is just awful

The first and perhaps the last time I will ever read a scout analysis of a player was Johnathan Taylor. The dude is a 5'11" 215lb RB and is a four star RB on ESPN and 247. He's the fastest RB in the country with a verified 4.42 40 time and 10.55 100 meter dash.

So I went on scout and their analysis for his areas to improve are must improve on acceleration and break away speed. I thought to myself they must be fucking retarded. If this guy becomes any faster at his size he would be able to run backwards past everyone.

Here's the analysis:

Evaluation
Taylor is a between-the-tackles runner with good vision, a sneaky shiftiness and thick legs, which makes him tough to arm tackle. He gets through the line of scrimmage and demonstrates good burst. His is quick with his feet in being able to change direction, and also cut and get up the field. He runs with a good pad level, is balanced and possesses good body control. He locates the hole well and is patient in waiting for plays to develop. Taylor needs to improve his top end speed once he gets past the second level. -- Brian Dohn
Strengths
  • Balance
  • Change-of-Direction
  • Cutback Ability
  • Foot Quickness
  • Instincts
  • Size
  • Tackle-Breaking Ability

Areas to Improve
  • Acceleration
  • Blocking Ability
  • Breakaway Speed

If you watch his highlights he's never caught from behind and normally beat players that have the angle on him and takes it to the house. Scout is a fucking joke.

Shhhh....let it happen. Scout is the only site where Michigan is ranked above OSU, so I'm for it.

I'm not sure how anyone uses anything other than the 247 composite in today's day and age. There's no legitimate need to link to one site's ranking as almost certainly people will just point to the 247 composite.

Looks like A&M made the correct move. Go to the SEC and all of sudden their recruit rankings are #7. Even though their record seems to be stuck at 8-5 every season.

Interesting Day today for me. I am sick as a dog and my wife goes out of town for work and she did not leave me with any honey do lists. Sweet.

Want to add, I enjoyed Notre Dame's 2016 football season.
