By THAT philosophy, TCU should be in the top 4.

But,given that it's for the NEW season,not the old, places should reflect that.

Some of it is based off last season. Alabama has question marks after Bryce Young at qb. Let’s hear your basis on why they deserve to be 3rd?

Florida State is too high. They beat LSU in a fluke in Week 1 last year and then lost the rest of the "difficult" games on their schedule. Then barely beat an Oklahoma team limping to the finish line in their worst finish in who knows how long. Travis is awesome, but he needs to be more consistent against better teams. Hopefully some OLine fixes will help him with that along with a good run game.

Alabama has 3-4 recruiting classes that ranked either 1or 2.

Translation: they have arguably the best roster in the nation not named Georgia. Both schools are starting new QB’s.

Last time I checked, this is a line of scrimmage game, and no one is better up front than Bama and Georgia.

All either team needs is solid, consistent, mostly mistake free football from the QB position.

Outside of Cam Newton and Joe Burrough, name an elite QB from the SEC that won a NC.

Your post legitimately said "name an elite QB from the SEC who won a NC" so I did, I didn't argue any other point besides you not naming the best college QB of all time

I would put Clemson, Washington, Tennessee and Utah higher, Florida St and Texas lower, and I would put USC in the top 5 instead of LSU. And I would put UTSA or Toledo ahead of Tulane out of the Group of 5, and I would put Arkansas in instead of A&M.

I don’t agree about Clemson - I think their main problem since Lawrence’s departure has been their QB play, Uiagalelei is not a very good QB IMO, now that he’s gone and Klubnik is in, I expect far superior QB play for Clemson - plus they have an excellent rushing attack and a strong defense. I am picking Clemson to make the playoff. I think it’s Florida St that’s kind of overrated.

I think Clemson is about perfect in their ranking. I think they end the season ranked around #8-#12, losing 2-3 games this season.

No team has won 3 titles in a row....

17 of the last 20 natl champs have been preseason top ten....

Their entire offense is bad. Shipley is a nice back but other than that, what else is there? Their WR room isn't what it was when they were good, their OL has been just as suspect, and sorry but Klubnik didn't look like a guy worthy the praise I've been hearing him get this offseason. I've got to see a hell of alot more from him than what i did before im crowning him. Unless this defense is 2021 Georgia level great this team isn't making a playoff.

I'll agree on Florida State hype as far as the playoffs are concerned but will also say coming into the year they have alot more going for them than Clemson, especially on offense where it's really not close when you compare them

I agree on the 2-3 losses but not on them being top ten. I think Oregon, Washington, and Tennessee are all better. I think the way they ended last season coupled with what their team is going into this year bumps them out until we play games and they can prove otherwise
