Okay so I am a huge fan of College Football and I just have the standard SD Cable Package from Comcast so the quality is shit however I heard on Chromecast you can stream the networks of ESPN, ABC, NBC, and Fox Sports on your TV in HD as long as you link your Xfinity account... Is this true?

Yes. I've done it with Cox (local cable company here). I used a roku 3, but a chromecast will do the same.

That said, look into SlingTV. I have it with the ESPN package and it's $25 a month. I think they are also working with the NFL network. I don't have cable. I use OTA channels and SlingTV.
