Nothing special :L

Are you retarded or do you just play a SPED on tHoop? Do you know anything about sports, baseball or even Fenway Park or are you just another faggot stat queen?

How many games at Fenway Park have you watched in your miserable life?

How come Rice couldn't even hit .280 with an .800 OPS on the road?

Why can't you answer this? Saying "watch the games at Fenway" has nothing to do with this road performance.

Do you honestly consider a .277 AVG and .789 road OPS good, let alone HOF caliber?

Instead of trying to poorly deflect with insults, answer the basic question...

Congrats to Hoffman, former Arizona SS before he became a pitcher.

All clearly HOF worthy IMO.

Chipper Jones was pretty much my hero, along with Dale Earnhardt Sr when I was a kid. I went to my first ever Braves game in 1995 when I was 4 years old, and Chipper hit a homer as a rookie, and it's one of my earliest sports memories. @SlinkyRedfoot probably knows better than anyone what I think about Chipper Jones.

Chipper and Jeter were probably the last two greats that will spend their entire career with one team.

Buster Posey? Clay Kershaw?

Jones, Thome, and Guerrero would have gotten my vote. Glad to see them in. Hoffman was inevitable.

So next year we get a reliever and a DH, the greatest to play each position.

Johan Santana got as many votes as Jamie Moyer.

I wouldn't have voted for Santana, but that's insane.

His peak was too short. Injuries cost him at least 5 years or so at the end where he could have padded stats.
Yeah I wouldn't vote for him, but he still was better than Jamie Moyer.

Also, he'll probably never get in, but I'm glad to see that Andruw got more than 5% of the vote to remain on the ballot.
Seems like he should get a bump next year, listed on a lot of tweets as someone who would get votes if there was no 10-player ballot

No love for Vizquel huh? He was hands down the best defensive short stop of my lifetime (Ozzie retired a year or 2 after I started watching baseball).

Chippier Jones was a lock and rightfully so.

Vlad Guerrero is in my hall of very good, but would not have received a vote from me if I was a BBWAA voter.

Jim Thome is a gawddamn softball player and was juiced out of is mind. He did parlay the "I'm too dumb to have cheated" all the way to a bronze bust, but this one is a fucking joke.

Trevor Hoffman averaged 60 innings pitched for 18 years and he gets into the HOF? Fucking pathetic :L
I'm with you on Hoffman. But Jim Thome getting in is not a joke. The guy got on base and mashed.

Yup but there is just so much value in defense no matter where it is. Considering the offensive era in which Vizquel played, and his competition at shortstop throughout his career, his offensive numbers aren't good enough and his defensive value doesn't make up the gap.

I still think that the low end of the ballot should be a test for who gets kicked out of the BBWA each year.

People who voted for Kerry Wood, Jamie Moyer, or Carlos Lee should be replaced.
