Say what you will but he left that roster in better shape than what he inherited. Herman doesn't have to rebuild like Strong did.

True but at the end of the day, he had been at Texas long enough to beat teams 2-10 KU and 5-7 Cal in a year when his job was under a big microscope, everybody knew it was including him. He gets those 2 wins and he is prob still in Austin imo.

To be fair, it's not like the cupboard is bare. He recruited OK, the last two classes were in the top 10. So Herman should have plenty of raw talent to work with. Very similar to when Harbaugh took over from Hoke. Hoke didn't recruit poorly, he was just bad at coaching/developing that talent. For all we know Texas is going to explode next year with proper coaching.

Texas left 4 wins on the field......most of the losses were winnable games that they found a way to lose. They should have beaten KU, Cal, KSU, and possibly WVU and OU. All those games were winnable. Just too many mistakes at the wrong times.
