as in "dirty?" As in "pitching hand straight up dipped in stickum?" As in "3/5ths of what runs through his veins is a cocktail of anabolics, HGH and fertility drugs?"

    You're probably right.

    ERA+ in 900 IP pre-Astros: 84

At 33 years old, he moves to Houston and posts a 121 ERA+ over the subsequent 240 IP.

Hmm, Mike Scott pulled a similar transformation back in the '80s when he joined the Stros...the rumor at the time was that Nolan Ryan was teaching him how to cut balls effectively. Sorta strange reasoning because Ryan still had a better arm but Scott was arguably quite a bit more effective, but Nolan being sort of a rockhead could have been a factor.

Of course, later on there was a lot of suspicion that both were early juicers of some kind.

Morton has really redeemed himself in Houston, as he's having his best season since 2015 where he went 19-8. He's also has an ERA under 2.50 for the first time since that year. The Astros I believe have the most dangerous pitching rotation in the MLB: Cole, Keuchel, McCullers, Morton and Verlander. That's a brutal pitching staff.

    My condolences.

In that case, allow me to remind you that in 2015, Charlie Morton went 9-9 with a 4.81 ERA.

Trivia: Chuck Morton only has one loss this season. What team was responsible for that loss and was the game even close?
