Great series.

To me it frequently seems like the team with more chances in playoff OT often loses the game.

Mrs 43 was bouncing off the walls early in OT. She thought for sure the Caps had it. After the second icing (and a lazy one at that) I said "Rangers win it here".

They did.

OV fails to will his team to victory yet again....

Might just be something to that. I have never thought teams should just make their best player captain.

Besides my historical hatred of the Rags and general contempt for anything from NYC, there's not a lot to hate about the Rangers. Brassard's a dick, and St Louis is a whiner, but up and down that lineup are players who play my kind of hockey. And AV is one hell of a coach. His adjustments through the game made a huge difference. This series wasn't as much a collapse of the Caps as it was a refusal to break by the Rangers. Two really good, evenly matched teams going at it. Like it should be.

Sometimes, you just don't get your chances. Although, Caps fans should be very interested in clarification of what is (and isn't) goalie interference. They should also nut-punch Leonsis and McPhee for that Filip Forsberg thing...

And Holtby took a huge step towards elite. Now all he needs to do is do it again. My God, that kid is good.

Sorry, if it makes you feel any better the Devils went from having arguably the best top line in hockey to not having a single player worthy of top line minutes in a very short time (Squiddy is probably top line material).
