Game Thread: Bruins at Flames - Iggy's return to Calgary

The guy who put this video together did a fantastic job - It's a little long, but there is some great footage contained within.

As for the game, it almost takes a back seat (at least for Flames fans as the team won't be making the playoffs), but that's okay. On this night, it's a celebration of #12's years as a member of the Calgary Flames.

How about a hat trick, but the Flames win 4-3 in OT.

That '03-'04 season was crazy, Flames acquire Kipper from the Sharks and he quickly takes over the No. 1 role, the Bertuzzi - Moore incident resulting in Bert being suspended for the rest of the season, Cloutier getting hurt and Auld having to play the remainder of that first round series, Gelinas scoring the series winning goal in the first three playoff rounds (and was that close to being 4-for 4) and Kipper playing fantastic in net for the Flames.

Iggy was just incredible throughout that run to the Cup finals, it was the best I have ever seen him play in a Flames uniform. This shift from overtime in game 5 against Tampa was tremedous:

At my wedding instead of the Usual Table numbers for each table at the reception we had mini team canada hockey jerseys of my favourite team Canada hockey players. The head table of course had 99 and the table that visited from Calgary of course had #12 (someone from the table took it home so I don't have a picture of it). I hold Iginla in high regard both in the NHL and in International play.

how can I not. I was at that game. gives me shivers now as I remember it. We cheered Iggy getting his 50 pretty hard that night. Hes much loved in Vancouver.

Tonight will be new territory for Jarome Iginla. The 36-year-old returns to Calgary to face the only NHL team he played for over 16 seasons when the Boston Bruins take on the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. You can watch the game live in the second half of the NHL on TSN's doubleheader at 9:30pm et/6:30pm pt immediately following the first game between the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings

I hope the Kings - Habs game on TSN doesn't go into OT, I don't want to miss any coverage of the "Welcome Back Iggy" ceremony.

/Or if the game is running long, I hope they throw it to TSN2.
