He didnt start yesterday. He has been splitting time with Simms. Actually Simms played a lot more than him yesterday especially the first half. Carter played well when he got his chance though so maybe it will change some. I think he may be having a tougher time with this scheme .

Because he hasn't played great this year. I think he'll step it up by year end. Garrett's way is the best man plays. Do we want competition or not? He has been playing and the better he plays the more he'll play. The kid has talent and all he needs to do is start playing up to his potential and he will leave the others in the dust.

I admit this year he isnt what I thought .... maybe the scheme change is getting him....... give him time ... he's a football player ... and a hella one

I agree. I think he can be a beast but not sitting on the sidelines. I agree with competition but to me that guy earned his stripes last yr.

certain guys dont get a scheme change as fast as others.... not saying anyone is dumb .... some guys are just used to a certain way of playing and when you switch it up .... they have a learning curve

Other than Lee ..... (he has proved himself) Carter is everything you want in a player ....
I DO NOT want a defensive coaching change

Not making excuses for him ..... but the fucker can run down the fastest receivers in the league ..... the talent and ability is there ..... He's a freak of fucking nature if he is coached up

I don't get the complaint. For years starters on this team started regardless of their performance. Carter lost his start because of lack of production. He played much better this week when he went in for a struggling Sims, so maybe he re-earned his spot back. I'm all for the #2 guy getting the playing time if he outplays the #1. Draft position and $$$$ should not dictate who plays and who doesn't.

It's not just the game play, you have to consider how he has looked in practice. We Dallas fans have become accustomed to seeing the depth chart be determined by the player STATUS. I for one am happy to see that trend has gone to the wayside. Look at it this way. When Carter become the starter again he would have earned it. He won't be names the starter just because he was drafted with high hopes.

I understand he's not making money, but he was drafted with him being a starter in mind from day one. Let him earn the start rather than be given a gift from Jerry.

Just read an article where Carter said his benching wasnt legit so he was obviously pissed about it. He played like it yesterday as well

I didn't read the article, but the last time he was benched he showed maturity by holding himself accountable. I guess that disappeared quickly...

It did light a fire it seemed at least. He played well the second half. Now I didnt grade him on every play. He seemed to be flying around. The article was skewed toward him being upset and pissed. He basically gave the company line that winning is the only thing that matters, much like Murray and his 4 carries. He just basically answered that they gave him a reason but he didnt rememeber what the reason was.
