This was a great night all around.

Even if the Chiefs won this game I would still say this was a game worth watching. This might end up being the game of the year. Obviously lots of football left to play but that one was all over the place. This is one of those games that Bronco fans even 10 years from now remember. For Chiefs fans it is probably 20 years.

Again though, why on earth wouldn't you try to pin Denver down when you're kicking from midfield? Rarely does any kind of run back occur when the kickoff team is that close. More often, you get a miscue by the receiving team. They should have stayed aggressive instead of spotting Manning the 20yd line.

For whatever reason (I think it dates back to a crush on Joe Montana and thinking he looked good in a KC uniform), my wife is a Chiefs fan. Was half asleep last night when I noticed she flipped the channel from some chick flick to the Denver game. With one eye open saw the game tying pass. A few minutes later I was again half conscious and heard her say "what the shit was that"? LOL'd cause she never cusses as her obvious use of the word "shit" in place of "fuck" in that sentence indicates.

Honestly that wouldn't have made a difference. A td was not guaranteed as they were around the 7 or 8 yard line and also denver had 2 timeouts left if u included the 2 minute warning so either way unless they committed a defensive penalty which gave KC a automatic first down, they were getting the ball back just around the 2 minute warning. The only question was if they'll need 3 or 7 when they got the ball back.
