I think most of us anticipated that the school wouldn't fire him of course if they lose out the rest of the way that could change things. I think he'll likely get one more year and if things go the same way next year he'll be done.

This is the issue. This should have been the "good" year. Definitely not the disaster that it has become. I still wish we had been able to keep George O'Leary.

The guy from Western Michigan seems like a good coach has that program ranked and undefeated with far less talent, of course they haven't played the teams Notre Dame has but let's be honest most of them haven't been playing great football either and many have losing records.
