1. Peyton Manning 71,940
2. Brett Favre 71,838
3. Warren Moon 70,553
4. Drew Brees 70,445
5. Tom Brady 66,169

If Drew Brees can make through the 2018 season without a serious injury, he'll become the all time NFL Passing Leader. Brees looks ad if he can play for a few more years and should retire the all time leader and most likely will hold the record for many years. Tom Brady at 41 might be able to pass Peyton Manning if he can play for two more seasons, but it doesn't look like he'll catch Brees.

Highly unlikely that anyone will ever play in as many Super Boiwls as Brady or win as many or win as many SB MVPs.

The only argument against Brees and Manning is that they played the majority of their career games in perfect conditions while the other QBs played more than 85% of their games in open stadiums in cold, rain, sleet, snow and fog. One has to wonder what Favre, Moon or Brady could have accomplished if they had played in domes stadiums, especially Favre.

So what you're saying is this thread is about Brady & not Brees. Got it.:D

One has to wonder how long the TD streak that Johnny Unitas had would stretch out? 147 games?

One has to wonder what Dan Marino would do in this pinball, arena-league era. 6000 yard/60 TD seasons?

One has to wonder what Joe Montana would do with an equivalent type talent scenario around him in todays game? 7+ Super Bowl Championships.

I don't really have to wonder....that's probably what's happening.

Playing indoors for a coach that likes to pass with no running game and a shitty defense can lead to a lot of passing yards...

One has to wonder if Brady played in the NFC around more competitive teams how often he would have gotten to the playoffs and division titles, much less the SB.

The point about QBs playing in domes is a valid one. Is it really any surprise that Favre had the best statistical year of his career aged 39/40 in a dome with the Vikings? And that's not to mention that he played half his career in the 90's when the game wasn't as strongly pass oriented.

Favre would easily be #1 had he played in domes for most of his entire career. The same arguments could be made for Moon/Brady. To be fair to Peyton though, he did have 3 highly successful seasons in Denver in the twilight of his career.

It would be more accurate to say “if the Pats played in NFC” because Brady does not win games on his own. Keeping that in mind and from a QB perspective, Brady has 76 win % against other AFC teams; 75 against NFC teams, so your theory does not hold much water.

I was going to say Manning showed it didn't matter where he played he still put up huge numbers. His best season of his career happened with the Broncos.

Brady plays in a division with the jets, bills, and dolphins where he gets 4 wins a year minimum. He's pretty much owned just about every team in the AFC except KC. He's lost his last game to Carolina, last game to Seattle, last two games(if counting SB) to Philadelphia, and last game to Green Bay. Against winning teams in the NFC Brady since 2007 is, wait for it, 8-8. Against playoff teams, his record in that same time span is 7-8. Against division winners his record is.........3-6. Brady would be playing the likes of Green Bay, NO/Carolina, LAR/SF every year. That's not the combination of Pittsburgh, Houston, and KC.

This whole thing is ridiculous anyway. How can Brady possibly do any better than he is currently doing. The OP dismisses the one thing Brees has that Brady doesn't: pin-point accuracy.

Am not questioning Brees accuracy, have always liked him and believe he is top tier QB. Problem is you are negating Brady’s total body of work by cherry picking games. Numbers don’t lie. Also, I think the only AFC team that “owns” Brady is Denver, not KC. And, NE is not the only team that has X wins guaranteed in its div.

I'm not cherry picking anything. And KC's won the last two games against NE in the regular season. Denver hasn't beaten them since Manning.
