Breaking news: The Steelers won't be on the field for the National Anthem

Seahawks and titans all stayed in lockerroom during anthem as well. The lady singing the anthem and the dude with the guitar next to her took a knee at the end of singing it just like we saw in other stadiums.

As much as everyone was tired of talking about these pregame distractions, they are for sure sticking around for a while now with trumps BS.

And honestly, all teams not coming out until after the anthem again like it used to be is really the only way to make this end. It's really not going away without that.

I agree. There really isn't any point to it. It's a football game, shouldn't have anything to do with politics or the flag or the Anthem.

However, I know why these sports leagues do this. It's because they want to play up the whole patriotism angle: "look how AMERICAN we are!!! Buy our products!"

Just stop having it. Many of us won't care.
