and we dump Dan Gendur, too.

Has Parent's stock fallen so far that he is traded for a guy that has cleared waivers?
I'd be surprised if Gendur ever plays an NHL game.

Parent seems like a good prospect if he makes it through to the Meese (or used to be... this is his 3rd team since June).
and as jstew pointed out on the main board, if Parent gets claimed on the way back up at some point, his hit is lower than SOB's anyways.

meh... not sure we even win that one.

Ryan Parent appears to be the No. 6 man, but coach Barry Trotz admits that there has been a little separation among the No. 6 to No. 12 defensemen on the depth chart.

Cheaper salary and a younger player... but meh.

Canucks put Parent on waivers? wow... all cap related no doubt.

Also note re: CDC via B ob McKenzie twitter... Tambi on waivers, but as AHL salary is $105,000, not eligible for re-entry waivers if recalled.

I'm curious if Andersson is related to Peter Andersson who we drafted in 2009...

Could Tambi be a player that just comes right back up after the roster deadline?

I figure we're going to see some interesting moves today for the Canucks to get under the cap before the LTIR kicks in.

Bolduc has that AHL salary too ... does that mean theres no recall waivers on him either?

according to this from CDC (can't vouch for accuracy) if he is on a 2way that is true for Bolduc as well.

Re-entry waivers – new to this CBA is the provision that certain players recalled to the NHL must clear waivers to join the team holding his NHL rights; any other team may claim said player for 50% of his cap hit and salary, with the team attempting to recall taking the other 50% of each. In general, players are not subject to re-entry [recall] waivers unless:

The player is on a -way contract and is subject to waivers when assigned to the minors; or
The player is on a 2-way contract whose minor league salary is in excess of
2007-08: $100,000
2008-09: $100,000
2009-10: $105,000
2010-11: $105,000
2011-12: $105,000

So if they were paid $1 more at AHL they would have to clear re-entry waivers.....

-1.8something mill

so all they have to do is put Burrows on LTI right now (but they would be sacrificing max cap relief on him if they do it now) ... and thats where my cap knowledge goes bye bye

I figure Hodson, Rome and Schneider won't be on Wednesday's list. Lack will be... that will put them under the cap. As soon as they can get the LTIR for Salo and Burrows, those 3 come back and will be on the opening night roster.....

Something like that anyway.... Gillman is playing with the CBA and you can bet the league will not be happy..... but what can they do about it if it is inside the CBA? .... didn't stop the league from penalties to NJ ....fines or loss of draft picks may be coming.....

Hodgson. Even if he's going to make the team (which I doubt) we can just send him to Manitoba for the day and then call him up after the LTIR applications.

That gets us to:

Still a ways to go. Maybe they have to put Burrows on the injury relief list now as Jstew mentioned.
