I'm reading a lot about him possibly coming to the Bengals. It's Twitter so there's a high possibility it's just rumor, but it's popping up more the last few days.

Awesome....get rid of most of our malcontents only to start inviting more in? Excellent call management. I hope it is false.

If we want a receiver to drop passes, why not just re-sign Cheech Simpson?

Can't be any worse than Coles, or Bryant so why not? I'm sure since he sucks and was hurt all year he will be cheaper than them too.

We want to take a step forward, not back by signing a diva WR with a grand total of 1 thousand yard season in his career, and who has hands like, well, our last big FA WR signing.

I'm just being logical. If it comes down to Edwards or Andre Caldwell.......well.

Stone hands and a giant underachieving pain in the ass. No thanks. Rather have Simpson or someone else. Plus, we got Shipley coming back next year which people seem to forget. I think he'll be a very productive reciever with Dalton.

Shipley can't be the #2, just not built to be and from what I'm reading, I'm not expecting Simpson back. If it's Edwards or no one, then give me Edwards.

We can find a #2 in FA not named Edwards. Try and find a guy who doesn't drop so many damn passes. This team already has a tendency to blow up on 3rd down or red zone attempts, no point in increasing those odds by putting bricks hands at #2, and then we can listen to him bitch about how he is not getting the ball enough.

Edwards fits our team concept - He's inconsistent on the field and he has been known to cause trouble off the field. I think he's a lock.

And, Brown is a redeemer! He would be giving Edwards a 3rd or 4th chance!

I mean, this is a lead pipe lock. He's a Bengal.

no, but shipley is a perfect slot guy that should get a ton of PT. He'll get a lot of receptions and open it more up for whomever is the #2. He'll definitely help the pass game. I'm excited to get him back...

I know Mike Brown can seem like an idiot at times, but you guys really do undervalue what he has helped due for this team the last several years. From the hiring of Zimmer and Gruden, to the trade sending Palmer to Oakland, to scouting and be willing to draft Green and Dalton, to Atkins, etc.

I know a lot of this has to do with the coaches, but he hired the coaches, and his word is still the final say so, so he is letting coaches be more involved in making decisions and staying out of it for the most part. He is letting his caoches have who they want, without overspending and putting us in a situation like Pittsburgh is in about to lose their top offensive talent.

Mike Brown has not been a great owner during a long stretch, and jury is still out, but he is doing a much better job in the last 5 years.

The reason why Pittsburgh has financial problems is not because they mismanaged their money -- It's simply because they have done such a good job at scouting. When your early round, midround and late round guys are all enjoying tons of success, they are going to start demanding money to match the productivity. They just have a bunch of productive dudes and that costs a lot of money.

Not entirely true. Pitt over-spent in the uncapped year, knowing that a new cap in place would really hurt them. They went ahead and rolled the dice not knowing how things were going to work out, and it's biting them in the butt right now.

I agree that I would rather have a different #2 but if it comes down to Edwards or no one then give me Edwards.

I would rather draft Mohammed Sanu in the 2nd round and make him the #2 WR from day 1. Edwards would not be a good addition in anyway to this team.

It really isn't biting them in the butt. They'll EASILY be able to get below the cap. They have plenty of veterans willing to restructure.
