If the receiver isn't where he's supposed to be when the QB throws the ball that gets marked as an inaccurate throw, but its really the receivers fault theres no way anyone not directly involved in the play can really know who as a fault. The QB the receiver and the coaches know and i doubt they're reporting that info to Cian.
Eh, there are other ways to tell if a WR ran the wrong route. You don't need a codebreaker to figure it out if you watch All-22 as a job.

I like him too but is 16 million to much for him? I think it could be.

Great speed but as far a route runner, he's still very much an unfinished product.

If McVay likes him, I’m on board

Need to sign Donald now but... not sure how that goes down

Last year Troy Brown said Cooks was too upright, too much fist pumping and does not maintain speed in and out of breaks, but he also said it's correctable - a bit of a slam on Patriots WR coach Chad O'shea.

Didn't impress the Saints or Patriots very much...

The only issue I have with Cooks is he doesn't fight for the ball.

Otherwise great outside receiver and good team mate.

Yes but how is Cain counting a wrong route in his analysis?

This seems like an overpay for a guy who has never put up "elite" numbers while having two all-time great quarterbacks throwing to him during his entire career.

Great question- I don't know.

He's good enough at what he does for one to assume it's probably not some super mysterious WR running the wrong routes.
Then again I don't take any writer at face value. You would hope it goes against the WR?

Very true- I just don't see anything compelling to say "the WR ran the wrong routes."

"Well if the Pope burned down the vatican" may as well be the argument.

The fact I see a lot of the same conclusions on Goff from different people (Keysor, Kinsley, Fahey, Cosell) identifying the same or similar tells me it's groupthink or there's a real phenomenon going on here.

Of course, it can all be irrelevant: God forbid Goff *gasp* improves.

This IMO is a stupid signing.

The Pats and Saints FO are some of the better in the league, and they were happy to let Cooks walk. Cooks is a known locker room distraction and could hinder the development of Goff, especially with Greg Olsen gone.

D Grade. Only thing keeping this from an F is the fact it's $20M guaranteed. LA is clearly looking to make a run this year by signing the worst locker room in NFL history, and I get that... but I have zero clue why you're guaranteeing to keep it around for another 5 years in Cooks with a young QB and HC.

This seems like irresponsible spending by a team that is desperate to win over fans in LA.

That’s crap
you are right. I should have said Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Also, he didn't even start his career with 3 straight 1,000 seasons. He only had 550 his first year and his big 3 years he only averaged 70 yards per game. Not so spectacular. WRs are getting too much. No way Cooks helps a football team more than Le veon Bell

I don't understand why they let Sammy Watkins walk to then trade for Cooks (losing a 1st rounder) and then lock up Cooks with the same contract with more years.

The Saints and Patriots passed on this guy. Thats not a good sign.

I'm missing something. (Watkins injury history maybe)

Because Cooks is a better player and better teammate

Next question
