A big shout out to the 49ers for passing on Mac. Trey Lance may some day be a decent even great QB but it's no lock. Mac is a lock.

Interesting in that people started this year saying Patriots are toast and Belichick can't coach anymore.
Now a lot of folks are saying Mac is only good because he plays for the Patriots.

I wasn't one of those but you are right in that lots of people wrote off B.B. prematurely. I also wasn't inferring that Jones is only a product of good coaching. Sorry if it came across that way. The kid has intangibles and smarts. That's obvious but he is in a good situation. I said the same thing about Mahomes. Not comparing the two either folks but being in a good situation with good coaching always helps.

Yeah, for sure. 7-9 with all the opt outs. Pretty good, imo. The defense was decimated. There was zero talent on the roster and Cam Fig Newton at QB.
