The case is so high profile, involving such celebrity, and involving a labor dispute. A lot hinges on this, for future player/league disputes. The precedent will be huge. I think it gets heard.

The nfl is huge industry. The own a day of the week and 2 nights.

Isn't rehearing in front of the whole 2nd circuit almost a long shot? We all know Supreme Court ain't happening, but it's not given that the second circuit takes this up.

I doubt they are gonna hear this just because it involves a celebrity or NFL. There are hardly any people affected by this.

Rehearing is pretty rare, but having the Chief judge dissent is a good sign. Probably increased the odds of rehearing from 2-3% to 10 or 15 %? I'm sure someone has run stats on the number of whole panel rehearings that have been granted.
