Jackets recall Oscar Dansk from Cleveland

BOOM SECRET WEAPON!

You weren't expecting THAT, WERE YA?

I'm guessing they are bringing him in for practice so the Blue Jackets forwards can feel what it's like when a puck passes a goalie.

This is going to be a good series. My guess is it goes to 6 games?

My *hope* is that it goes 6 games.

So, on the returning guys front, Zach Werenski was back on the ice today and Lukas Sedlak and Ryan Murray were described as "day to day, but close" by coach T. Those will be good because a major difference in that last game against the Pens is when the Pens pressured on the forecheck (sending two instead of their normal 1), the Jackets kind of crumbled. We need Werenski and Murray to be able to make that first pass otherwise we get hemmed in with that pressure. And Sedlak is a big boy whose primary strength is he can replace Matt Calvert.

Also just saw that Sullivan confirmed Malkin is good to go for game 1. That is terrible news, he's the one who ate us alive the last time we met in the playoffs. Fucker can turn it on and off at will.

Please be rusty, Geno. Please be rusty.

To throw more randomness into it, Jackets have the following guys who have never been to the NHL Playoffs before:

Sonny Milano (20)
Markus Hannikainen (24)
Lukas Sedlak (24)
William Karlsson (24)
Alexander Wennberg (22)
Josh Anderson (22)
Oliver Bjorkstrand (22)
Scott Harrington (24)
Zach Werenski (19)
Markus Nutivaara (22)
Gabriel Carlsson (20)
Joonas Korpisalo (22)

However, the guys in bold all played on the Calder winning team where they, as a group, only lost 2 games in the playoffs. And one of those was in OT.

Dude, have some faith!

I am feeling a bit better with the news that Werenski and Murray could both be back.

But that last ten games where they not only lost, but clearly seemed to have no will to win really hurt.

Momentum leading into the playoffs has a huge impact,

Thus, Tamps and the Isles should have...oh, nevermind.

Alright! It's game night! I am heading out, gotta go to a practice with my boy and then home to watch.

I leave this to all the Pens fans on this board:

I wish you terrible luck, and please do not be that whiny franchise we all have come to expect.

Murray might make it back? On the radio earlier this week it sounded like he was at least a week away (so MAYBE towards the end of the Pens series).

He skated with the Strength and Conditioning coach for over an hour today and according to someone who was there, he was stickhandling and shooting. Usually,a guy wouldn't be out there like that unless they feel like the doctor is ready to clear him.

They said the timeline is 4-6 weeks and today is 4 weeks since surgery.

I guess it all comes down to how Gabe Carlsson or Harrington plays. If they are a dumpster fire, Murray will be hurried back. If they are competent, then he can wait a few extra days.

“There's no secret. I try to play him as hard as I can,” Dubinsky said afterward. “That being said, I didn't try and do anything dirty. ... But again, that's not the type of player I am. I'm going to play hard, but try and play fair in between the whistle.”

LOL

I mean you're not James Kneel/Chris Neil levels of shitty, but you can't really claim you always play fair every shift, either.

Dubi is on the line usually and crosses it probably 30% of the time.

All I hope for is a good clean battle. Two pretty even teams that can play each other strong.

Good luck to you but not too much.

I can see this series going 7 easily. CBJ is a hell of a team. Anderson scares me, it seems like he is a terror in front of the net
