Stupid college football rules that need to be changed:

If replay can overturn the ejection, then it should be able to overturn the penalty as well. It is absolutely asinine that a replay referee can say "no, he wasn't targeting but the defense will be penalized 15 yards anyways."

Just plain stupid!

That's how the rule is. Only the ejection is subject to review, not th penalty itself.

As for the Syracuse video I think OP is talking about yesterday's calls.

Sticking with Alabama game and I can't find video yet but there is a play where A&M receiver goes out of bounds and takes 2 or 3 steps and as he is coming in catches the ball. Refs throw initial flag then wave it off and give him the catch saying he was forced out. Replay shows the Alabama DB barely touches him. They scored next play!!!

Happened on Auburn's winning TD against Miss St yesterday too! MSU DB barely touches a big ass TE for Auburn and he goes out of bounds and comes back and catches TD! I've never seen that called and saw it twice yesterday.

Like I said yesterday, QBs should just lob up sideline routes all day long. If thrown right, the safety will hit you over the top every time, just like that play, that will result in a 15 yard penalty and ejection. It is absolutely terrible now.

It's ridiculous and needs to be changed. I understand throwing the flag if it could possibly be targeting but the fact the 15 yds stands regardless of the outcome of the review is just insane.

How exactly? He snaps the ball, moves to the middle, and kneels down with about 15-16 seconds left.

They were ready to snap as soon as the ball was spotted, and the ref let the ASU player lay on it, then held off the UW team until time expired.

They practice this exact scenario every week. Very simple play if the refs do their job.

It shouldn't have been a penalty at all, he was making a play on the ball, he wasn't even trying to hit the receiver!

How about talking about what agreat job McCarron had, or how the O-Line dominated A&Ms front 7, how Bama went on the road in a tough enviroment and came away with a win, or the great play calling by the coaching staff. No, you want to want to cry about a call that didn't go your way. How pathetic is that?
