I just read that the Braves have traded Caleb Dirks and Jordan Paroubeck for some guy named Bonus Pool Slot. Apparently, his number is 87. Has anyone heard of Slot?

I bounce around from one sports message board to another. Most of my posts on SportsHoopla pertain to my beloved Pittsburgh Pirates and Golden State Warriors, both of whom I have followed since the early 60s. I also post occasionally on the Philadelphia Eagles site, but it's hard to get a word in edgewise with those fanatic Eagle fans. And I still haven't forgiven the Braves for stealing a World Series appearance from the Pirates in 1992. That photo of Sid Bream sliding home with the winning run in the bottom of the 9th still lives in infamy in my mind!
