Damn Creighton loses their most important player, at least IMO, and now Xavier loses their most important player for the season. Brutal blow to the Big East.

Sucks. Big East loses two all Big East performers in the span of 2 weeks.

Interesting to see how the Big East is seeded this year since so many RPI points were earned with Watson and Sumner on the floor.

Yeah, we'll have to see how Creighton and Xavier finish out the year. I think Creighton can with stand the loss of Watson more so than Xavier without Sumner, but my guess is neither team will have the record they otherwise would have had with both those guys playing. I'm hopeful both teams can finish strong and gets the seeds they would have gotten with those guys, but I don't think that's realistic because they are both so good.

I actually think Watson is the more valuable player even though Sumner is better, by NBA potential at least.

I think both teams finish around 10-8 when the ceiling was much higher, especially for Creighton.

Marquette is the clear beneficiary here. If they can't make the tourney now, heads should roll.

Yeah, I agree I think Watson is more valuable too, I just said that because I think the pieces Creighton has around him are better than what Xavier has left. Foster, Thomas, Patton and Huff is still a pretty good nucleus with a lot of experience. Creighton also just got back Hanson, so that's a big plus moving forward.

Creighton lost a big time player for them but still wins and impressive road game against Butler. Maybe Butler was overrated.

Creighton is still good.

They can score the ball like crazy.

Just won't be as consistently good on offense

Bottom of this league might be better than I expected.

Sju is no doubt not awful. They have athletes(which we simply don't) but there is no excuse for not even being able to dribble the ball or settle down and play in control or to play any defense at all.

I thought for a while it was wojo(he still could improve adjustments) but he's been coaching well lately. This team is what it is. If they are red hot from 3 they have a great shot to win. If the opponent drives the lane regularly, they are screwed.

And SJU is a horrid team to watch. No structure just athletes.

I really think SJU is one of the most improved teams from what they looked liked OOC. Already have some nice wins in Big East play. I think next year they'll be a top half team in the conference.

Both teams should be disallowed from post season play

Afraid this team is done.

Another lost because we have no D

And Butler is unconscious

And ultimately it comes down to the offense failing.

I fell asleep, but tough loss to Butler at home and they didn't even play their star.

Hopefully, you guys don't fall too far. You'll drag us with you, lol.

Seriously, Marquette is a fun team to watch. I think 10-8 gets them in, 9-9 is tenuous.

Looking at your resume. You have better wins than a lot of Big 10 and big 12 teams. I think you guys are one of the stronger bubble teams. I wouldn't get too worked up about it.m

This team is completely done. So embarrassing.

Just meltdown after meltdown

Doesn't help we have no luck either. We already can't defend. But to make matters worse opponents have an EFG% of 76 against us when shooting open shots off a pass

No one else in BE is seeing oppentents shoot higher then 56%.
