The Big 12 is #1 in latest overall RPI, SOS, non-conference RPI and non-conference SOS. 7 teams are in the Top 47, most in the nation.

7 teams have been ranked in the AP Top 25 this season, most in the nation and with only 10 teams.

9 teams are ranked in the Top 73 in the ESPN BPI. 9 teams are ranked in Sagarin's Top 71 and he has the Big 12 ranked as the top conference. Note: I don't even like Sagarin's ranking system.

Since the 1997 season no team had ever won 4 straight games against Top25 teams, now it's two Kansas and Texas(?).

Big 12 non-conference winning percentage is the best in the nation at .797(102-26).

The Big 12 has a 8-9 record versus AP Top 25, best in the nation, both in wins and percentage.

The Big 12 has a .500 record versus 27 of the 29 conferences, the teams have played against this season.

The Big 12 has 5 teams ranked in the Top 30 in points/game, twice as many as any other conference.

I noticed OU is quietly up to #17 in the Country. I think they make a pretty good showing in the conference tourny though I'm picking Isu to win it.

On a side note with Missouri gone why is the tourny still played in KC? Are they even going to sell out? If KU goes out early it's done. Why not have it in Okc with the women? Oklahoma is right in the middle of Big XII Country and the Texas schools and Kansas schools could drive. Plus I'm sure the kids would love to play in an Nba arena.

I had to do some research, because I didn't know which Kansas City the stadium was located. It's in Missouri.
You're right, it is kind of strange. I'm guessing KU and KSU want it there or the contract to hold it there hasn't been renewed.

My prediction of Baylor beating OU is looking good, the thieves are being held down by the Baptists to the tune of 14 points in the 2nd half 14:00.
