Big 12 takes on the world

Bowl season was horrible to watch this year... until last night.

The Big 12 gave college football fans something to enjoy... finally.

I loved hearing how the Big 12 sucked in bowl games... how it reflected on the conference.

What does it mean... bowl results?

Last year... the SEC's 5 ranked teams... all lost in their respective bowl games. Did this change perception? Did it affect the preseason polls? Did it matter?

I was most surprised by OU's loss to Clemson. Of course, the injury bug affected them... but, I did not like the defense OU ran. I have no idea what kind of plan they had... but... 300 yards rushing... was brutal.

BU played without a QB.. and beat a top 10 team.

TT went up against a ranked LSU. Was anyone expecting a win there? Really?

KSU... was not a typical KSU team. They were using a 4th string QB... played a good Arky team... one of the nation's best offenses. Did anyone expect a win there?

TCU played without two of its best offensive players... two of the best players in the country.

Look at the Oregon offense without its best player.

In the end, Big 12 teams went up against UNC, Clemson, Arky, ASU, Ole Miss, and Oregon.

Those teams are ranked #9, #16, #27, #31, #8 and #5 in scoring offense.

Of course, Big 12 teams can't play defense... as we saw in bowl games.

I guess none of the teams who went up against UNC, Clemson, Arky, ASU and Oregon could play defense either...

It was a fun game to watch if you decided to make the trip and see the game I would imagine...theme of the bowls this season..blowouts...clearly makes you take notice and say that 15 of these games should be eliminated..just bad football or teams really not wanting to be there...
