Says Heat fans asking why he didn't play more this series.

If Hibbert would've went off, Oden still would be an MIA.

Oden should get some PT when they play the Spurs, he would be a great matchup against Duncan on defense and a rim protector to keep Parker away from the bucket.

doubt it. too slow to play vs the quick ball movement of the spurs. they'd kill him

Can't agree. Oden was brought in to combat against the bigs of the Bulls and Pacers. As mentioned previously, Duncan would post up Oden without an issue. Good for depth though if we need size against the Spurs. If the Thunder somehow pull it off, then you won't see Oden at all.

Duncan would post up Oden without an issue??????????

Oden is a very good defender on the block and Duncan has lost a couple of steps, this would not be an issue.

And kick Bosh's overpaid ass out. Didn't even think about that bk. Nicely done!

Didn't he take a pay cut to be with the Heat? Also, isn't he talking about another pay cut this summer?

Duncan is one of the best big men of all time, even if he's old, I don't think he would have too much of a problem with Oden.

Probably because he wouldn't get the same deal anywhere else. Paycut included.

LOL....I think Oden could keep up with old man Duncan...you're funny

Its not about keeping up with duncan... its about keeping up with rotations.

Heat have one of, if not the quickest most intense D's in the NBA. They swarm, they sprint all over the court. Oden would struggle to keep up with his rotations. Especially against a team that moves the ball as well as the spurs.

First off, the Spurs haven't beaten OKC.
All this is conjecture, as Oklahoma certainly is not forfeiting the series.

But Greg Oden is not controlling Tim Duncan.
He is way too raw and limited at this point in his career.

Oden was brought in to play versus the far more limited skills of Hibbert.
He will not see the court at all versus OKC. He might get some minutes versus Splitter....maybe...

Chris Bosh will defend Duncan. Bosh is not a bad defender.
Nobody on the HEAT is going to be able to defend Duncan perfectly, but Bosh is by far and away the best option. Bosh can make Timmy work a little bit.....he has semi-decent defensive skills.

If Miami resorts to using Greg Oden as the "Duncan Stopper" it will be a short series.

Duncan isn't going to start shooting threes and Duncan moves pretty slow. Oden just needs to stay attached to him which he can easily do. I'm not talking about Oden playing 30 minutes anyway. Maybe 10-15 minutes to give Duncan some different looks, especially a defender that is big and strong that can push him around a bit on the block and boxing out for rebounds. The Heat need to get Duncan to work more than he is used to, old people don't like to work hard.
