Best drummer in rock history

There are lots of very good rock drummers out there....but imho, the only one who comes close to Ginger Baker's level..is Aynsley Dunbar.

Phenomenal list of bands and players he's been with. So many styles; totally ridonkuluous.

True, true. But for a pure precussionist I would nominate Carl Palmer. To pick just a drummer as opposed to a percussionest...hard to do but next to Baker, Bonham et al. don't forget Jim Gordon or Corky Laing.

Yep.
Both of them also played with Jeff Beck....and Cozy was even with ELP & Black Sabbath for a stretch.
