Beason Contract Void

just read on Cat scratcher that Beasons contract acording to the restructure is Voided after this year.

That is strange, I have seen other reports (none very recent) that his deal continued for the remainder of the original deal.

what it was saying and i could be wrong, but the restructure was for this year and then void the contract. the last three years where untouched because that is when the proferated (spelled wrong i know) signing bonus, and guarenteed money started to hit at higher lvls. meaning the last three years he had a lower base salary but high cap hit in exchange for a higher salary and lower cap hit in the begining of the contract.



i dont know if i just explained that very well but that is my interpretation on what they are saying and how i believe it would work.

So they'll groom Klein to back up Luke when Beason is gone. Hmm.

According to the article's source, Joel Corry, Beason becomes a UFA at the end of the season. He'll still count 8 million against the cap but we save 2.5 million. The article does mention Klein moving into the weakside spot. Klein has potential but he is no Beason.
