Is it ironic that since the 70s when the South became football integrated that it has dominated the sport ever since? Be careful what you wish for, B1G and Pac12 teams. The ACC, SEC, and BigEast (We will include FSU and Miami as Independents) have dominated football since integration.

And while this is a Bear thread, I recall Captain dumbass Rod Gilmore, Stanford graduate, saying that Bear Bryant was not as good as other coaches because he didn't face integrated teams. Or that he could not win because he did not have black players. Or that he only won because the SEC wasn't integrated.


However, the fact remains that he won 3 championships with both integrated and non integrated teams.
