Maybe part of the problem is assessing what makes a good pitcher. Maybe the regression Siggy alludes to is his underwhelming stuff
However his craftiness may be at a surplus compared to many.

Yes I think they thought his ERA was an aberration and would climb back to 4.00 or so sooner rather than later…

I think switching roles is what helped him to put up better numbers. Last year was his first as a full time reliever.

normally I can figure out what you mean but I need help on this one.
Ok re Sborz and Bochy liking his arm

I like Sborz arm but think mental makeup is not prioritized as much as needed in picking guys to throw innings

Thus his inconsistency

I along with a number of others was not happy what we did in regards to staffing our BP in the off season. I would have to say one of the biggest gripes many of us had was not signing Matt Moore. That not happening is beyond my understanding. Instead we sign someone like Ian Kennedy.
