Draft is a long ways away and it's far from being a priority for the Seahawks. However, being that this week will most likely be a very slow week in terms of football talk (unless Percy gets medically cleared on Thursday *fingers crossed), I thought I'd throw it out there.

How many of you would be for selecting ASJ with our first round pick?

Throw him in there with Percy, Tate, Baldwin, Kearse and we now have a very very dangerous passing game. I know he's had some inconsistency as a Husky, but this guy could be a Jimmy Graham and has the potential to be a very good blocker as well.

I was just thinking about this the other day after the bowl game ended. The kid is huge at 6'6 280 I think he is the jimmy graham and gronk type of TE so I would love to see him here.

I don't like it. Dude has some serious attitude and off the field problems. There are better options out there IMO.

Zach Miller's contract begins to become very team friendly and he has done a good job at TE.

The Seahawks offensive line has been pathetic at best, Breno Giacomini and Paul McQuistan both have their contracts expiring at the end of this season and the Seahawks will likely look to upgrade on both spots.

Selecting an offensive lineman in the first round must be a priority. It is obviously not as glorious as picking up a hometown kid like ASJ but it fills a huge need for the Seahawks.

Offensive line! I agree with seahawksfan here. Sweezy hasn't come far enough to solidify a spot and Carpenter is garbage. We need a stud OG on that line. Hopefully we'll be picking last in the first round though, and at this point with our roster, just take the best player available, regardless of position.

with mccoy coming back and willson getting better, i just dont think a TE is a need especially one with issues that appears to be soft.

OL, OL, and OL and maybe a DT if a really good one is available. and possibly a big WR.

I also think rebuilding the OL is top priority. I want to tell Seahawksfan234 he was right about Carpenter. I was still hoping he could work out, but he hasn't. Also the Seahawks are going to want cheaper and hopeful better OL then McQuistan and Giacomini.

I think that's spot on. And there's a gluttony of talent at offensive tackle in the 2014 draft IMO.

Although tackles usually take a while to develop, and Seattle may want to go after players who make them good right now & just sign a veteran tackle.

As much as I love the thought as a Seahawks and Husky fan, I think the Hawks will have bigger priorities than tight end, and as was mentioned, our TE situation looks pretty good next year with McCoy, Willson and Miller. Besides, if ASJ goes in the first round, he probably goes before the Seahawks pick, so he might not even be there.

Yeah, I also wanna make it clear that even though I said I would love to see him here. I agree with what many of you are saying because I do strongly believe that we need to use our draft positions to bolster the problem at OL.

I think Breno is not worth keeping, he's decent OL, but is expensive and at times frustrating the shit out of me with his dumb penalties. The Hawks have always put themselves in ideal positions through the drafts at different positions. This year, it has to be for the OL.

If Cable does go to the Lions (or elsewhere) then we may get our wish about a 1st round OLineman. Cable seems to like the project guys over everything else. Even Carpenter and Moffitt were considered projects when we took them. So, if he ends up with a HC position somewhere, then the team may lean to get more apparent talent at the OLine position.

Personally, I want to target LG. We have a really good LT and C, but we really need to shore up the LG position, and in doing so we may find the rest of the line isn't that bad. I'd target Zach Martin, Notre Dame or Cyril Richardson, Baylor. Though, there is always the chance that they'd both be gone, and we'd just move to replacing Giac, and then it's Cedric Ogbeuhi, Texas A&M or Cameron Eriving, Florida State. There are a few guys I like that aren't exactly needs that I would also see going after. Kyle Van Noy, OLB from BYU is a perfect example of that.

At this point, my dream is that we have the #32 pick and the draft will look like this:

1. Zach Martin, OG Notre Dame
2. Trevor Reilly, DE Utah
4. Daniel McCullers, DT Tennessee
5. L'Danian Washington, WR Missouri
6. Tyler Larsen, C Utah State
7. Keith Price, QB Washington

I think WR, OL and D Line(we will have to cut 2 guys) will be bigger needs. I think Mcquistin and Breno will both walk unless they are satisfied with minimum pay. Also the ship has pretty much sailed on Carpenter I would think as he is taking less then half the snaps at G. It seems like Bowie or Bailey could fill one of the two open spots and the other will be a draft pick. I'd love a big WR as well.

We need some solid prospects for the Oline. No If and's or But's about that.

1. Oline ( R. tackle )
2. Oline ( Guard )
4. WR (6 foot 3+ with better than 4.5 speed)
5. Oline ( Guard )
6. DL Nose tackle ( DT with size and POWER )
7. BPA

If SEA doesn't go OL with at least 2 of your first 4 picks, then I don't know what the GM has been watching all season.

We have not done well drafting OL (see Carpenter and Moffitt), I think we need to find proven guys through FA.
