OK, you're on. SC offered him twice now and he turned them down both times. SC has a bunch of overbearing boosters similar to Texas. That and Petersen runs the show with no interference from the Washington AD. Petersen is from the NorCal area but he was an asst. coach at Oregon and Boise St. before he took over that program. He seems to like the Pacific Northwest for whatever reason(s).

Anything is possible but if you look at coaches like Stoops, Dabo, Gundy, Patterson at TCU, Jimbo Fisher, etc... those guys don't seem to be looking elsewhere and I don't know why Petersen would be any different. He's making solid money and he has some of the better facilities in college football to work with.

Don James was at UW for 18 years, Jim Owens who he proceeded was HC at Washington for 14 years before he handed over the reigns to Don James.
