I know there are many people on here that don't like the A's, but I'm happy for them. The Bay Area will be flooding with playoff baseball this weekend and I'm excited for it all to begin.

But what a story for Oakland and Baltimore too, no one saw them coming.

Lots of folks in the stands in Oakland today for a midweek day game. They are finally showing up a smidge.

It's pretty amazing what they did.

And kudos to Miguel Cabrera on the Triple Crown. It's been way too long since a player pulled that off.

Somehow missed this the first time around. My heart goes out to Neshek and his family. Couldn't possilby fathom losing a child of any age. Terrible news on what should of been two of the happiest events in his life.
