There are a hell of a lot worse "trends" to worry about then the AP poll. I hope worrisome trends like fundamental discipline, ball security and anemic lines will be worried about. But as trends go "You saw them, you tell me."

Oh hell yes there are worse trends. I just kind it interesting that #18 is tied for last with 3 for the fewest amount of teams being ranked in the final poll and we just happened to be it.

But then again, I find some really weird things to be interesting. (Almost went to a mom joke there but decided against it)

Would like to see the algorithm for why #18 ends up unranked more often than not. Interesting trend for sure.

Obviously those that rank the pre-season #18 team lowest (low 20's, if even top 25) are correct in their evaluation.

There is no rhyme or reason for it......all by chance that it turns out that way.

Give it another 15 years and there will be a different trend. There always has to be a trend of some sort.

Junk science. No rhyme or reason. Too many variables.

Yep long as they beat UCLA it's pretty much impossible for them to drop out of the top 25 from that point on.

No way in hell this team finishes unranked.

We honestly could probably suffer a 1 score loss to UCLA and remain in the top 25.

#14 Notre Dame plays #17 Michigan in week 2.......so there is 1 team that falls behind us. We might be up to #16 by the time we play UCLA.

Meanwhile, UCLA is ranked only 3 spots behind us.....so it's not like that would be graded as a bad loss.

I been thinking about this for a while. If we go into the B1G CCG undefeated, we aren't going to lose that game. That is just a fact.

If we were good enough to get through that schedule undefeated regardless of a couple stretches of weak opponents, I have little doubt about our chances of beating whoever we get matched up against. Whether it be Ohio or Wisconsin.

If we go undefeated regular season, we are going to the National title game and no one is gonna tell me different.

Yes I've been drinking.

Those last five games will test us. If we make it through those undefeated we should win the CCG.

edit:Of course we could do like last year.
