Anyone ever stream a game over phone data?

How much data do you have to spare? I've never streamed a whole game, but I've pulled them up for a bit when I've been out. If you think you'll just be watching a half, I'd guess you should expect to use 500 to 800 mb or so.

I've found it's significant enough that I don't do it anymore because I typically come close to reaching my limit every month. Sucks, I used to put on bowl games for a bit at work.

I don't really know, I don't pay for my data. My work pays for it. If I really want I can just use the data and it wouldn't be a big deal really, but I would like to give a heads up if it's a ton of data.

But if it's just 500-800mb, I'll just pay for extra data on my wife's phone.

I just googled it, Netflix says to expect about a gig per hour for SD, I never noticed it being that much when I've streamed bits of games, but probably set it to the lowest quality you can stand if you're worried about it.

I agree! This game should be over by the first half. So don't worry about too much data usage.

It depends by phone carrier but on average streaming HD is anywhere from 1-3G per hour.

I did it for the Wisconsin game this year and it took about 3GB for me. I turned it off at a couple points as well when it wasn't socially acceptable to be watching a football game during a wedding.

I did the sling app for the Bama game a few weeks ago, I don't know what it used, but it didn't cause a blip that made me go WTF.

Yeah I watched the NFL Games on Twitter and it uses a lot of data unless you are in low-quality video.

I'm going to a memorial. But I didn't know the guy, I'm mostly having to take my wife so I plan on kind of taking a good bit of time.
