I'm going to a memorial. But I didn't know the guy, I'm mostly having to take my wife so I plan on kind of taking a good bit of time.
If you watch the whole thing straight, I'm guessing it would be in the 3-4gb range.

WatchESPN on my VZ iPhone burned through about 2gb of data during the first half of a game I once watched while riding on a highway. I'd guess transferring from tower to tower didn't help. It might be a little better if you're stationary

If so, I'm curious how much data it cost.

Just use twitter and follow your teams beat writer or something....update it like every 10 seconds. Far cheaper and wont kill your battery.

Who is your service provider? Verizon has 'PopData' that you can enable that allows you unlimited data for 30 or 60 minute intervals for $2 and $3 respectively. Had to use it during the MSU game as I was crushing my data before I enabled it.

How do I not know about this? How do you activate it?

In the 'My Verizon' app it's at the bottom of what I think would be the home screen under my act usage summary and 'Add a New Device.' Just click on the link and follow the prompts and it just adds the $2/3 on to your phone bill.

That's the only way I've done it, not sure if there's other ways.

Never have, would waste to much data, if I need to miss a big game I DVR it and watch it later.

Don't hate, it makes feel larger.
If you have verizon you can just bump your data plan for a month. You can do that through the app. Pay an extra 20 bucks and get a few more gigs.

My phone is paid for by my work and is on AT&T. I could just use the data and it not be a really huge deal honestly. I just don't like to appear on the radar for that.

My wife has Verizon, but we do the prepaid thing on her phone. I'm pretty sure I can just pay for extra data. She has 950mb of data left from this month with only a week to go, so I think I'll just pay for an extra GB of data and run with that.

Verizon user. I was in Henderson NV last weekend. I streamed part of the Charger Game, a couple of the Baseball games etc..
I have a 4gb plan but had over 7GB due to carry over, I used about 3gb's of data over the various different streaming methods. Still have 8 days in the cycle but they just added another GB of "bonus" plan which makes it hard to really see what I am using. there is no day to day chart to see what I used each day or at least I have never found one. Most screens just want to sell me a different data plan.
