Texas doesn’t return a single Starting LB. The 2 that started the spring game are not necessarily fast. The top ILB recruit will miss the season with an injury. This is just a bad take

Floyd is/was a bad ass, but he wouldn’t be considered a fast LB either

Texas writers don't consider him insurance.

With Juwan Mitchell, they aren’t looking for depth, they want (need) a front-line starter. Aggressive move and they were fortunate the full qualifier out of high school was available.

Losing 8 defensive starters...but overall talent level is higher, so don't know.

Offensive line tremendously improved for second year in a row...Parker Braun 2 yr all ACC lineman should give a big boost to the run game. A number of more explosive offensive players...but inexperienced.

Last year's Longhorn was far more skilled where it counts, and they still lost 4 games.,

Not really sure about this statement: Texas is getting some explosive offensive threats, whereas last year, the offense did not have even one play over 50 yards...that wont be the case this year.

yes, looking at his tape his speed does concern me a tad. But it does appear he will stick his nose in the hole. Needed a LB bad, and one with a little physical maturity as opposed to a true freshman, so really glad to get him

Texas is just not fast at LB. Gbenda hasn’t come to campus yet, he is the only one that could come close to Malik Jefferson or Gary Johnson in a race. Nobody else is going wow at combine. It’s is literally the most questioned position on the team.

By the way, 40 time is one of the more over-rated aspects of a MLB. Be able to read fast is generally more important than being fast. Guys that are fast and read fast go to the hall of fame

Agree with this about speed and able to read fast

good examples from recent past, not hall of famers AFAIK, but they made plays all the time
