In the last 8 seasons Bama has only played in 3 regular season games where they were out of the contention for a National Championship. Impressive.

I had heard both.

I especially heard about the amount of games we've played while being OUT of contention, after the Ole Miss loss.

No matter what, this has been an unbelievable run for us, and while I didn't think this team was even close to the best we've had, I'm still impressed with how they responded post Ole Miss.

Psssh. Bama doesn't need posts like this. They should be above that. Act like you've been here before, I know winning titles is new to you guys but gosh.

It'd be new to you lot, hell it's been almost 20 years since you have won it, and even that one was shared.

Gotta remind UM fans every now and then what actual thread worthy accomplishments look like.

Yeah you're right. Saban should immediately not care about any accomplishments and go on the recruiting trail with his shirt off and holding sleepovers with young men. That is a sure sign we've been there before, right?

When one speaks of blue bloods, does Bitchigan's name not come up in that talk? Seems like someone is living in a glass house there sparky.

"playing for a title" means nothing. It's a made up stat. A 6 win team is "playing for a title" because that team could arbitrarily be voted into the playoff by the committee (a committee that has final say and no oversight). The only time you're not playing for a title is if you're in a bowl game that isn't the playoff, or ineligible for a bowl.

If you couldn't tell, I'm only replicating the illogical terms that other fans, specifically Alabama fans around here, like to impose on Michigan when talking about threads with legit accomplishments in them that happen to be about Michigan.

Hell yeah meeeechegan is blue blood program, :bullshit:. Have you already forgotten about their shared Natty in '97 or their last outright Natty all the back in 1948? Winning 1 outright Natty the last 68 years demands respect, dammit!

Well that's just simply not true. UM was out of title contention in week 7 last season for example.

No we weren't. Anything is possible when you have a group of people randomly voting people in. Especially when those people have major ties to schools -- did you hear Lloyd Carr is going to be on the committee? How can someone possibly argue that doesn't help our chances of getting more arbitrary votes?

Except to get this stat they're looking back at completed seasons and what actually transpired to get an absolute number. Not what might happen if a buncha random long shot shit takes place. The games have been played, there's no guessing in this particular case.
