Am I the only one who is not impressed with Danica Patrick being the first female

NASCAR driver and winning this Daytona 500 pole. I first thought she won the Daytona 500 race (I don't follow NASCAR very much). I had to look up what winning the pole meant.

I respect that she broke barriers, but I'm not shocked. I know some women who can be as aggressive as any guy I know and drive as fast. I know some who know as much about vehicle mechanics as any guy. I don't see how a girl doing it in NASCAR is such an incredible feat.

They don't talk about female jockey's in horse racing as a huge thing. I don't see much difference other than women had their chances earlier.

Yeah. IMO, she's kind of in the same league as Anna Kournikova and the media and she is making it sound like she's Maria Sharapova.

She's the driver guys like looking at and she's obviously not a bad driver, but what has she actually won to be thought of as a NASCAR superstar?
