I mean for sake of argument, let's say I traded Milk MJ. He takes Magic like he already did. There's almost no way I can win the half against him with his starters, assuming he drafts a few other players.

Then I'm trying to win the quarters against him and even then I'd have to win by a large enough margin in both to cover the half.

The half is a big factor here that I don't think people are thinking through yet.
After to totally disagree lol. You'd have a starting 5 of the top 30 players ever. MJ can't beat that

Who is this feller? I dont see him part of the draft but he laughing in my face lol

I'm not laughing at you, I am just wondering why someone would want to trade one single spot in the draft? What is the benefit?

Closer picks so I don't have to wait. I wish it was back-to-back picks like UK had. It is just my preference

Not saying MJ and Magic alone would do the trick, but you surround them with solid role players, who will also happen to be great players themselves and things balance out. When you have a player like MJ, you build a team around him instead of just stacking talent. Same goes with probably the top 15 players of all time. After that, it becomes more necessary to fit guys together. There's only one ball, one focal point, then deviation from there. Looking at multiple one on one matchups isn't a good way to determine who's team is more significant.

Put it this way I'm confident if I took the other side of this I could have built an unbeatable first string taking MJ and another player 1-2. I probably wouldn't have taken Magic though, but I would have built a first half that would for sure win against most anyone else's team.

I don't think anyone has ever won with MJ even in a normal draft (I could be wrong)...this one it being split up into 3 lineups, the starters will matter the most but it's still only one half.
I won a basketball draft with MJ
