The Big 12 is not taking Houston as it makes zero sense to have another Texas mouth to feed.

The SEC won't take Houston as it violates the unwritten rule they promised A&M.
They will not double up states. Florida and Georgia will bail immediately if it happens and that rule is broken.

The Big 10 is not taking Houston for academics.

The PAC-12 is not taking Houston for likely academics and geographic reasons.

So, it only leaves the ACC.....which already has 14 teams and no real need to expand.

Herman would be a complete idiot not to take the A&M job waiting for a Power 5 expansion.....
