Last weeks clock management was a fiasco, unacceptable for an experienced staff. This week? Nothing wrong with the way he managed. he had to force him to use those timeouts and the only way to do that is run the ball. You have to get a first down though. Wisconsin's line was simply stronger than ours and held us. Not sure if you can put that on a first year coach or a legacy scrapbooker but I don't see it as a clock management issue this time.
Just getting caught up on the thread...our line got us a first down:

I think I understand what you're saying here. The offensive line got push and Cross went the wrong direction. The offensive line got push a lot better then I thought watching the game originally but a first down? That was 2nd and 7.

if he cut left, he had that corner for possibly 10 yards

Ok, you're right. I didn't mean to argue semantics. I understand your point was the line pushed. I did not see this when I watched the game. You are right and I was wrong regarding the line.
With that said I just realized my original point was not about the line specifically. It was this loss was not on play calling. He had to call runs that would force Wisky to use their time outs so that point stands. And your video seems to support that in that he didn't just call it straight up the gut three times either.

Funny how original thoughts get lost on forums.

aqwk68?

He made two posts before the Illinois game. They were his 1st two posts since March though.

So ESPN showed the most improbable comeback victories of the year today and before the Michigan/Michigan State debacle, Nebraska's opponents owned 3 of the top 6.

After the Michigan/Michigan State game, the BYU game and the Illinois game remained in the top 6, but obviously the Spartans win took over 1st and kicked 1 of ours out.

Mathematically speaking, 3 of our losses had a combined total of something like 0.9% chance of happening.
