I find it hard to believe but you said the sources are pretty reliable. Forty_Six, What is his contract again? That will certainly come into play.

I saw this too in passing...but there are many reasons I think it doesn't happen. He's due a crap ton of money for a lotta years still, and while that won't frighten off people because of his pedigree, I think that combined with "lackluster years" in OV standards, will lower the return. I saw a picture that said he's the "most hated DC athlete". When did THAT happen?

Also: I think the media/fan pressure has a lot to do with this. Oh, and the coaching carousal. The team took a turn when they let Boudreau go...yet to see where that ends up.

Let me clarify. People are not indicating that Washington is actively trying to move him. They are not. I am saying that they are open to "knock your socks off reboot" offers and some teams are sniffing around.

Second year of contract - We haven't won a championship? What a fucking waste.
