They were projected to finish 3rd or 4th place, some had them last.

As of this morning they have the third best record in baseball.

ZAch Britton thing is turning into a 4-alarm fire now

Orioles have allowed 11 runs in the 8th or later inning in the 4 games this week alone.

It was okay early on without a closer, but the patchwork replacements have given them 4 losses late.

Britton needs to get back soon, or the Orioles need to make a move for a closer if he is gone long term.

They need to get rid of Gentry and add another bullpen arm. It makes no sense to have that many outfielders riding the bench at one time and going with a short bullpen, especially with the star closer not coming back for over a month.

Orioles bullpen in shambles without Britton being the anchor.

Yet, another 6+ run lead squandered.
They literally can stop nobody from scoring late in the game.

Brad Brach, allstar set-upman, is sporting a nice 15.00 ERA in this month since he got promoted to closer.
And everyone else is struggling in newfound roles being moved around.

I think it goes back to Buck being a stubborn ass in the WildCard game and not playing Britton.

Sox have won 3 out of 4. 2 straight on the road against a team that had won 8 of 9 games. 26 out of 39 games against teams with winning records. Price back in a couple weeks hopefully. Hector Velazquez makes his MLB debut tonight after just 5 starts playing professional baseball in the US.
