Another clunker from Joe Kelly, and he's been optioned. I can't blame Buchholz too much for tonight, the Sox were pretty bad defensively tonight.

Hopefully that's the last we'll see of Joe Kelly as a starting pitcher. He sucks.

Remember last year when he said he would win the Cy Young?

Joe Kelly has as much chance of winning the Cy Young as I do. But man how about Mookie Betts?

I don't expect him to continue the 40+ HR pace. I think he finishes around 25-30. He's been putting up some serious power numbers since last June though (.311/.357/.545, 41 doubles, 10 triples, 26 HR, 118 runs scored since 6/15/15). He could very well put up a 30-30 season. Hard to believe, but Ellsbury did it in 2011 (the only player in Red Sox history).

Holy hell do I love this offense. Down 4-0, Xander just misses out on a grand slam (2-run "single", he thought it was out) and then Ortiz cranks one out right after to give them a 5-4 lead.

Say what you will about Kelly/Buchholz (MLB teams have never had trouble finding a good #5 starter before!), but man the O's rotation outside of Tillman sucks (jury's still out on Gausman, he hasn't pitched more than 120 innings in a season).

Loving how the Jays are owning the Yankees this year. Baseball in the Bronx gets worse every year.

Not gonna lie, the downfall of the MFY hasn't been nearly as enjoyable as I was hoping it would be. They're not even fun to hate right now. They're just boring and mediocre. But I'll always take that over them being in first. It's about time they ran out of pixie dust.

Same as I have felt about the Sox the last few years. I would much rather see that hated rival lose in some heartbreaking fashion, then them suck.

The rivalry peaked in '03-04. The rivalry's been lacking in intensity for a while now. There have been some good games, but nothing will top the 2003/04 ALCS, 7/24/04 (A-Rod/Tek brawl), Pedro vs. Clemens (May 28, 2000), or even the Boston Massacre (as much as I'd like to pretend that never happened).

You need both teams to be at the top, to get the rivalry going full steam again. Now there is hatred between the fans, but nothing like there was 10-15 years ago.

You can still see it flair up at times, like A ROD getting thrown at. But most games do not have that circus feeling.

never been so unsatisfied with a split against a decent team in my lifetime.

Bullpen management has been terrible under Farrell over the years.

Nolan Reimold (how the hell is he still in the majors? dude hasn't done anything since '09) did a pretty good Carl Crawford impression.

Orioles averaged over 10 runs a game in their 4 wins in the 7 games played versus Boston

They seem to like Boston pitching as much as Boston likes theirs.

Because when healthy, the guy is good at getting on base.
