I don't think there's a way the Ducks win a Bobby Ryan trade unless they go apples for oranges and get a really good young defenseman back. Ryan for Suter, Ryan for Edler, Ryan for Enstrom, something like that.

Thanks. Of course this doesn't mean a deal won't happen. As an Isles fan I really don't want Ryan to go to the Rangers. Anyone else & I'd be okay with it.

It may not lead to a Bobby Ryan deal, but I can confirm the Ducks and Sabres are discussing a possible trade.

It could be, as a source contended before the game, related to a telephone call I hear they had regarding Ryan Miller(notes) on Monday about a possible swap for winger and three-time 30-goal scorer Bobby Ryan. It certainly makes sense, huh Jimbo?
